We are proud to be the principal partner in the Cultural Collaborations Forum 2007.

The Territory is home to people from more than 100 nationalities, as well as a vibrant Aboriginal culture. Our small, diverse population is spread across some of Australia ’s most remote and isolated regions. Negotiating Space for Cultural Diversity is a powerful theme for workplaces and local communities across the Territory.

The Territory economy is strong and growth is forecast to continue into the next decade. This year we’ve invested heavily in employment, education and training, with a particular focus on increasing opportunities for Aboriginal Territorians.

In this dynamic environment, creating a workplace culture which accommodates and nurtures diversity will increasingly drive the success of organisations.

The Cultural Collaborations Forum 2007 is a great opportunity to explore Negotiating Space for Cultural Diversity in a setting with a rich and eclectic culture. On behalf of the Northern Territory Government, I wish all delegates a stimulating and informative experience.
